The weather is cold and clear with frost for our first two Santa Special weekends. The Saturdays are busier than Sundays, but it’s mainly walkers who visit us. Those who do venture along the path as far as us are pleased to discover the place with the log burner twinkling in the main arch and the mingled scent of Christmas and fresh coffee. Walkers are happy to be able to take off their muddy boots and feel the warmth of the floor through their socks.
Soup is popular, not surprisingly and the cheeky pasties go well. The hot spiced apple drink is appreciated too. We’re hardly inundated but it’s nice to have had the excuse to decorate the place.
