From the South - take the A169 North from Pickering. Climb up to the moors and notice the Hole of Horcum on your left as the moorland begins. Pass the Fylingdales early warning station on your right. There is a signposted left turn to Grosmont 15 miles North of Pickering. It's a two mile steep descent into Grosmont. When you reach the level crossing the school is to the left, along the path (125 metres).

From the North - take the A171 from Middlesborough. Just North of Whitby, at the roundabout, take the A169 towards Sleights and Pickering. In Sleights village take the right turn to Grosmont, along Eskdaleside (lots of ups and downs for three miles). This will also bring you in to the level crossing.

Parking & getting to us

There is no parking directly outside the Coffee Shop (not even for us!)

In the season we suggest using the NYM National Park car park as it's cheaper than the station car park and just as handy.

Cross over the level crossing and follow the road down about a quarter of a mile. It then bears right under a railway bridge. As you emerge from under the bridge you'll see the entrance to the NYMNP car park a little way down on your right. The village cricket pitch is on your left. If you park up in the top section, near the footbridge over the railway, it's just a short walk along the station platform back to the main street, level crossing and us.
